A bittersweet oral history of the longest 13.5 seconds in NCAA championship history – Undefeated
I love reading a good oral history. This was very timely as we’re right on the heels of the Final Four. I remember this game like it was yesterday, so to read about some of the behind-the-scenes happenings during this time was great.

Why Does Mount Rushmore Exist? – New York Times
This is a pretty interesting perspective on why, when and how four of the founding fathers were carved into stone in 1925. I love Anderson’s take that it is “not just big; it is about bigness — a monument to monumentalism.

HUMBLE. – Kendrick Lamar
Dezmond: Kendrick Lamar released his newest song and presumptive first single, HUMBLE., from his forthcoming album with some vivid visuals. Teaming up with directors Dave Meyers and The Little Homies (Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free), K.Dot recreated scenes from The Last Supper claiming the center seat, dressed up as the Pope, and even referenced vintage Grey Poupon ads while providing dizzying fish-eye views and jittery camera angles. Kendrick’s highly-anticipated album is expected to release April 7.
Norris: In my opinion this is already the video of the year. Thank you, Kendrick and Dave Meyers.

Chance the Rapper donates to 12 more schools; Bulls kick in $1M – Chicago Sun Times
Being in education, I have developed an affinity for the just cause of improving education, specifically in underserved areas. Chance the Rapper’s efforts for the Chicago Public School System are admirable to say the least. As highlighted by Tina Sfondeles and Lauren FitzPatrick of the Chicago Sun-Times, Chance’s call to action being answered by the Chicago Bulls is icing on the cake. Kudos to Chano from 79th.
