My final project will be on football and the impact it has people in america(specifically Texas.) Not only in regards to viewing and playing but the damage it can do to a persons long term health.  I would use multiple pages to discuss topics such as the positive stories from playing, negative stories, the business side of the game and also attempt to cover up to date NFL and college football news. I’d also like to add a page with user submitted stories on how football has effected them, whether it be positive or negative. To allow my audience to be involved in the site, I will incorporate a comment board as well as implementing polls on football related questions. Ill also have real videos from people who play football, have played, and allow their children to play. My main goal with this page is to show both sides of the game and show people different perspectives while being respectful of other people’s point of views.

For our next site i plan on writing about movies and reviewing them. I enjoy attending movies but it’s hard on deciding if the movie is worth seeing. Besides my home page I  plan on having a good review page, a bad review page, a page featuring new movie previews, and finally a contact page. I’ll most likely pick my own color scheme. I’d like to have the site resemble Rotten Tomatoes, another movie review site. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/ .  Or a mix of RT and the ESPN site which has a great design http://espn.go.com/ .

I typically check Nice Kicks once a day. Nice Kicks is a site devoted to sneaker culture. The site is easy to navigate through does a great job of recognizing who their target audience is. I enjoy looking at the site mostly because of the content. Not only does Nice Kicks showcase shoe related articles, but they even have their own writers who post original work. The overall design isn’t my favorite in terms of a website layout but I do enjoy the articles and being apart of the community that views the site. I think the website’s design could be improved by using a layout similar to news sites or even ESPN. Basically highlight more interesting topics and have your own writers produce more content. That way you can reach a mass audience, but also have the writers who can focus on particular subjects within the sneaker community. Not only that, but try and involve your audience more whether it be with daily poles or informing them of sneaker deals.
