For my final project I wanted to do something about a topic that I’m already very interested in and that I could always learn more about. My interest is electronic music, something that everyone has heard of but they don’t know much about. Within the electronic music genre, there are different sub genres and that is what the pages of the website would be.

Page one: Home page, explaining what electronic music is, the culture, and possibly the page with my interview. For my interview I want to find someone, or multiple people, explain why they enjoy electronic music and

Page two: House music, what makes this sub genre different and explaining the history.

Page three: Trance music, what makes this sub genre different and explaining the history.

Page four: Hardstyle, , what makes this sub genre different and explaining the history.

Page five: Trap/Dubstep music, what makes this sub genre different and explaining the history.

Page six: Contact page

For my next website I want to make something about things you could do in Austin.

Home page- Welcome page explaining all the great things to do in Austin and why visiting Austin would be fun

2nd page- Top places to eat in Austin, would have to limit this to a number because there are SO many.

3rd page- Live music scene in Austin. I would make this about some of the top venues to watch live music in Austin.

4th page- Hikes/outdoor activities to do in Austin, would also do the top 5-10 best places to be outside in Austin.

5th page- Nightlife in Austin, best places to go out to on the weekends!

6th page- Contact page

I love the idea of each page being similar to a buzzfeed article, but I want the overall website to be more creative. There is a Wix commercial for website design and I like the options they have but I obviously want to create that myself! The Wix website is really cool and that’s the type of website I would like to use for inspiration.

My favorite website is Spotify! Being a music lover I always love to try out new music sites and Spotify has been one that I’ve consistently used since it started. Spotify allows you to search your friends music, artists music, and even make your ow playlists. I LOVE it. The reason I liked the Spotify website so much is because of how much it has evolved. Now with Spotify the navigation is more simple than ever but it also gives you a ton of options. They have playlists for working out, hanging out with your friends, or even ones when you’re trying to study, but they don’t over clutter their homepage with this information. Spotify has also recently started the Discover Weekly page which takes your music taste and makes you your very own playlist. I think they have done a good job with not only the easy to use navigation but the content that is on the page which all together makes the perfect website 🙂
