For my final project I would like to work for a client who needs a website for her small at home cake business.  I have envisioned an interactive and fun website that would be very eye catching. As far as content goes I can see myself building a home page, a gallery with her previous cakes (slide show format), a contact page, an about us page, I would like to offer a videos page where she shows us how to do some technical stuff in 60 minute videos and like that to the classes that she offers. If I can’t get videos of her doing that then i would like to add a reviews page where people can write there reviews as well as link some reviews she has had before. I  have a vision of a very simple and clean website that just scrolls from page to page kind of like the one you built for the wedding. That makes the content flow when there isn’t too much content.

So, for my final project I am going to do a website for a client. The client is a young athlete and I’m close with his family.

The Pages would include:

• Home Page
• Contact
• Media (Photos and Videos)
• Achievements
• Bio (?)
• Sponsors

For the interview, I plan to interview him about how he got into the sport as well as how he’s disciplined himself to progress. B-Roll would include him wake boarding and also still clips of the lake (maybe TSR)

For my final project I would like to create a website for a campus resource that I have begun using quite frequently in the last few years. I want to create a website that highlights all of the unique features that the student rec center offers each and every student here at texas state. There is a lot of great features that I think could be greatly highlighted. My pages will be as follows.

4. Exercise classes

5.Contact the SRC

For my final project I wanted to do something about a topic that I’m already very interested in and that I could always learn more about. My interest is electronic music, something that everyone has heard of but they don’t know much about. Within the electronic music genre, there are different sub genres and that is what the pages of the website would be.

Page one: Home page, explaining what electronic music is, the culture, and possibly the page with my interview. For my interview I want to find someone, or multiple people, explain why they enjoy electronic music and

Page two: House music, what makes this sub genre different and explaining the history.

Page three: Trance music, what makes this sub genre different and explaining the history.

Page four: Hardstyle, , what makes this sub genre different and explaining the history.

Page five: Trap/Dubstep music, what makes this sub genre different and explaining the history.

Page six: Contact page

For the final website, I plan on doing it over the self-defense class that is offered by the university. Not only is it important for students to be aware about, but it is also in my opinion an interesting subject. The pages on my website would go over:

1. When and why it started
2. What students/faculty think of it
3. The stats behind it such as, how many students attend, what other universities are doing it, etc.
4. A video page with maybe interviews or instructions
5. More information about it. So times, location and how and who can sign up

The people who I would interview would be the instructors (to the best of my knowledge this is the UPD), students who have taken it and maybe others just on what they think. I am excited to learn more about this subject.

For our final project I would like to create a website for incoming freshman and parents. The site will have 5 pages. One page will be about different dining halls on campus and student reviews. Another page will be about upcoming events that freshmen should know about.  I plan to interview current freshmen students about advice, tips and their life as a freshman for the testimonials page. Lastly, there will be an about page and a contact page.

For my final project I want to make a website on Texas State Krav Maga. I don’t think a lot of students don’t know about this group on campus and it would be beneficial for them. The pages on the site could be about the group (home), history of Krav Maga, classes offered and why take them, videos and contact. I think with this topic, there would be a lot of opportunity to have visuals to accompany the information. I could interview people who take the class, the instructors and the people who started the group. Video could be of an interview with b-roll of people taking the class.

For my final project I have a few ideas.

My first idea is to coordinate with the Adventure Trip Program here at Texas State and make a website for them. It would include an About page, a Contact Page, a Trip Page with probably a dropdown that has all the different trips including current and past. Then another page for the schedule of trips or maybe past students experiences.

Another idea is someone in my family is needing a website for her pottery. I am thinking about making a Home page, an About Page, a Contact/where to find the pottery page, a page that includes all of the different things she has made and sells. I think another cool page could be the process of making the pottery.

So far these are my two ideas. I am not sure which one I will choose because I would like to work out the bugs for both of them, and make a pro-con list, before making a final decision.

For my final project, I have decided to combine my web design project with my writing for pr project. In my writing for pr class, we had to make up a fake PR company and create a press kit for it. Taking advantage of my web design project, I plan to create my last site on my pretend PR company which I named 7 Seas PR. It will look just like any company’s website. I will have a page dedicated to explaining what the company is, another with a client portfolio, one with the types of industries and sectors it works with, contact information and so on. I interviewed my roommate who will be the pretend chief operating officer (COO) for the company where she will explain the meaning behind the name of the company.

For my final project, I was thinking about doing something along the lines of our athletic teams or program in general. I would maybe do a page per sport, and briefly explain each team and the successes of each, as well as some improvements that could be made. I would interview faculty, students, or maybe even someone of the athletic department. I am still very unsure if this is what I want to do for certain, but this is what I have for now.
